New build homes are required to have either a solar PV system or a heat pump. If you’ve chosen solar PV, you can opt for an in-roof system or a traditionally mounted system.
In-roof means the panels are mounted onto the roof frame and tiles or slates go around it to seal the building. Traditional mountings are panels installed on rails on top of a roof material e.g. tiles.
